RENOVATION

This project involved breathing new life into an old building that had begun to severely decay. With direction from the client, we preserved the look of the façade and reverted back to the original marquee design while also providing modern amenities. Inside the structure we created a flexible performance and event space with a new stage and backstage areas, lounge space for private events, a new balcony, box office, concessions, restrooms, and administrative office to support the continued use of the building. In 2023 the City of Somerset was awarded the Kentucky History Award for Preservation from the Kentucky Historical Society.
