CLIENT: FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

ADDITION & RENOVATION

This project included the addition of approximately 12,500 square feet and the selective renovation of First Baptist Church in London, Kentucky. The intent was to bolster the church’s children’s and youth programming, with new children’s church spaces, classrooms, indoor playground, and theater. The project is a conventionally-framed steel building, with expansive storefront; glass is selectively tinted for effect. One design highlight are the classroom windows, which are provided in 5 bays of 8 windows each, and are selectively tinted to spell “JESUS” using binary code. We are very proud of this project and feel that it will serve the church well for years to come. However, the most successful feat was seeing this come in within projected budget. Since bid award, the church has worked to successfully fund-raise.
